Oud Mood — the smoky, resinous original
Rose, saffron and pimento open it, moving into agarwood, caramel and patchouli with floral notes woven through. This is the one most people mean when they say “Oud Mood” — widely compared to MFK Oud Satin Mood, and the densest, most gourmand-leaning bottle of the three.
Oud Mood Reminiscence — the lighter, fruitier one
Raspberry, orange and saffron open bright rather than smoky, warming into cardamom and nutmeg, and settling on sandalwood, cedar and a soft oud that stays in the background rather than leading. If the original Oud Mood is too dense for you, this is the answer — polished enough for a desk at 9am and dinner at 9pm.
