Lattafa Teriaq Intense Review: A Dark, Boozy Amber

Teriaq Intense is a different fragrance from the original Teriaq, not a stronger version of it. The original is honey, almond and caramel. Teriaq Intense, launched in November 2024 and credited to perfumer Quentin Bisch, is built on a dark plum-liqueur accord.

The notes

Saffron, bergamot, plum liquor, cinnamon, amber, tonka bean and benzoin. The opening is spiced plum with saffron, closer to a winter digestif than a dessert. Amber, tonka and benzoin then bring sweetness and depth.

What to expect

This is a loud, sweet, warm fragrance. It has presence, so it is best treated as an evening or cold-weather scent rather than something for a quiet office. Fans of boozy, liqueur-style fragrances and dark ambers are the natural audience.

Who it suits

  • People who want something distinctive rather than another vanilla gourmand.
  • Anyone who likes saffron, plum or spiced fruit.
  • Fans of Khamrah who want to try a different sweet style.

Who should skip it

If you prefer soft or clean fragrances, look elsewhere. If your idea of sweet is caramel or milk, Eclaire is a gentler choice. It is also one of the pricier Lattafa bottles at the time of writing, so it suits a considered purchase. Check the current price on the product page.

Wearing it well

Two or three sprays is plenty. It suits autumn and winter, and it works well for dinners, parties and dressier occasions. In warm weather it can feel heavy, so save it for cooler evenings. See best Lattafa winter perfumes for similar options, and browse the amber and oriental range or Lattafa perfumes by note. Another boozy option is the Fire On Ice review, and you can see more sweet picks in perfumes like Lattafa Khamrah.
