Most sweet fragrances play it safe. Teriaq Intense doesn’t. It opens with a dark, spiced plum-liqueur accord that is closer to a winter digestif than a dessert, and it makes itself known.

Lattafa launched Teriaq Intense in Paris in November 2024, with the composition credited to perfumer Quentin Bisch. It is not a remake of the original Teriaq — that one is honey, almond and caramel. This is a different fragrance built around plum liquor.

It is an original Lattafa composition, not a dupe. A number of reviewers say it shares some DNA with Kilian Angels’ Share, and a few mention the warm, boozy mood of JPG Le Male Elixir, but the plum is the whole point here and nothing designer smells quite like it.

It is also polarising. People who love it tend to love it a lot; people who don’t get on with syrupy, boozy sweetness should read the caveats below before ordering. We’d rather you buy it knowing exactly what it is.
