Despite the rose molded onto the cap, Layaan isn’t a rose fragrance — rose doesn’t appear in the notes at all. Instead it leads with green pear and mandarin, moving into a genuinely pretty floral heart of jasmine, lily of the valley and gardenia. More than one reviewer has called it one of the prettiest fragrances in Lattafa’s catalogue.

Musk and cedarwood ground the base, though as with much of Lattafa’s range, reviewers note it performs noticeably better after a rest period — straight out of the bottle it can feel light and short-lived. A genuinely easy, everyday floral once matured, well suited to office and daytime wear.
